Reel Brothers was the idea of Michael Anthony Cummings II. His son, Michael A. Cummings III, started the foundation after his passing. These are the directors and officers who serve with him.

How the foundation is governed
Reel Brothers Foundation, Inc. is a faith based private operating foundation, incorporated in Maryland on May 18, 2026 as a nonprofit corporation. As an operating foundation, it runs its own programs directly rather than making grants to other organizations.
At its first meeting, on July 16, 2026, the board ratified the Articles of Incorporation, adopted the foundation's bylaws and a conflict of interest policy, and elected its officers. Every meeting of the board opens and closes in prayer.
